Can you Name a Dog like a Human?

I’ve never had a dog so I don’t know how naming one goes down. My guess is that it’s just like anything else, you throw out a list of possible ideas and work through the pros and cons.

Does anyone argue about how some of the names sound too much like real people? Like if you named your dog Douglas. Is that weird?

I start thinking about names that would sound awkward yelling out in a dog park like Margaret or Christopher. Can you imagine? The other people there would be looking for your child or wondering what’s wrong with you.

Or, I’m just not experienced enough to understand how dog names work. If naming your dog Amy is okay, go right ahead. I’ll be one of those people looking at you like you’ve lost your mind if I hear it though.
